Availability & access to the fortified town

The fortified town has a barrier to prevent excessive traffic in the village between 1 April until 1 October on Sundays and holidays between 13.00 pm and 17.00 pm. Should you be arriving between these times, please when booking your room state the time of your arrival and please phone our hotel on this number +31 (0)168-722 300 when you arrive at the barrier. We will arrange for your entry.

Should you wish to leave the village during your stay on a Sunday and return between 13.00 pm and 17.00 pm staff will issue you a pass for the barrier.

PARKING

The whole year from Thursday to Sunday between 11.00 am and 21.00 pm there is restricted parking for a maximum of two hours (blue stripe) in the whole village of Willemstad, apart from the Grimhoek and the parking spaces around the Mauritshuis en marina ‘de Batterij’. Also you find some free parking spaces (no blue stripe) at the parking of the local supermarket (Jumbo). From Jumbo to Trusten is a few minutes walk.

The reception can provide you with a parking card. Hotel Trusten can also offer some private parking places.
